When we review a company that operates in the field of the multi-level marketing realm, there are a few very key things we keep an eye out for. One such things comes in the form of visible names of who’s running or owns the operation in question. This might seem like a small detail to focus on, but we promise it comes with some very good reasoning.
You see, there’s absolutely no reason for a company to not disclose who owns and runs the business that’s in question. It’s nothing more than a good business practice, so when a company decides to withhold such information, it causes for our radars to go up.
By not making this information clearly available, it begs the question as to why the company would want to keep this information secret. And, as we’ve seen with past multi-level marketing opportunities, it’s usually due to the fact that the company we’re reviewing is a scheme of some sort.
In the case of MMM United, the official website lacks any sort of info in regards to the owners or operators of the business. The only bit of information we were able to find is a claim the company makes that MMM United is run by a “team of MMM participants”.
Just what does MMM participants mean though? You might recall a previous company by the name of MMM Global. MMM Global was another MLM opportunity that popped up back in 2015, but it turned out to be nothing more than a Ponzi scheme that was using bitcoins.
So, with this in mind, we can make a pretty fair assumption that MMM United is really nothing more than a clone or relaunch of MMM Global – which saw a total collapse earlier this year (2016).
When looking more closely at MMM United’s website, we can see that the majority of its traffic is coming directly out of India. Just how much traffic you might ask? How about a whopping 84.8%.
With this information in mind, we think that it’s pretty safe to say that MMM United is being run and is based somewhere in India.
Background knowledge aside, let’s take a closer look at the actual inner workings of MMM United as a company.
What Products Does MMM United Sell?
Along with the absence of the above information, MMM United also lacks any real product line. This, however, is a much more troubling issue than not disclosing who’s running the company. Look at it this way.
Product lines within any company allow purchase to be made by retail customers. When those purchase are made, that money is then circulated throughout the company in question. The company can then use this money to pay employees, bills, etc.
So, when a company does not have a product line, how is it able to pay off employees or affiliates? As we’ve seen time and time again, company’s in this realm use investments from existing affiliates to pay off any commissions or ROIs that they owe to other affiliates within the company.
When something like this takes place, it’s referred to as a Ponzi scheme. Although we can’t determine that this is what MMM United is doing just yet, it sure does seem likely.
